On the path to peak perfection

Pizzo d’Uccello — a multifaceted mountain

Well, here we are with April 2020 looming on the horizon and, instead of being busy taking the final images for my personal exposition, Pizzo d’Uccello — a multifaceted mountain, we find ourselves in full Covid-19 lock down, along with the rest of Italy. There are tentative indicators, for Italy at least, that the tide might be turning but, even so, it will be months before things begin to return to any semblance of normality. Consequently, I have postponed my exposition until 2021.

The other big project for 2020 has been the introduction of a new online area at the angellightphoto studio that is dedicated to walking. Alas, for the same reason, it has been necessary to postpone a lot of that activity too. Nonetheless, the basic framework is live with two fully finished walks and another bunch that are awaiting images and detailed instructions. An important aspect of this part of the website is building a community so it is now possible to signup and become a member of walks with angellightphoto. The existing walks will be completed and new walks will be posted just as soon as I’m able to get back out onto the tracks and paths with my camera.

One of the many benefits of being retired is that I get to spend so much more time in the great outdoors, not only as a photographer but in exercising one of my other great passions — hill walking. This is a particularly good fit when one’s photography centres around nature and the landscape. There can be few better places to do that than here in the beautiful mountains of Tuscany.
